Randi Nelson

I am a graduate student in the Evaluation Studies Certificate Program at the University of Minnesota. My educational background is in agricultural business (B.S. Arizona State University) and Agronomy/Plant Protection (M.S. University of Arizona). I also have a M.Ed. in Agricultural Education (University of Minnesota). I have been an agricultural education high school teacher for the past 5 years here in the frigid Twin Cities of the North (Minneapolis & St. Paul). I am now very excited to be getting into the field of evaluation. I spent a lot of my youth living outside of the U.S. due to my fathers’ work in agriculture education with UNESCO and due to my own work as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Once my own children are in college-only a few more years now- I hope to work internationally again. In the meantime, I plan on getting as much experience as possible in the areas of planning and evaluating professional development programs for teachers and agricultural industry and extension professionals. If you have any suggestions for the AEA mentoring program under development-please let me know!
